02 Explorer No Door Lock

Approximately 1 year after purchase started developing a crack on the panel beneath the rear window.

Press the power door unlock control three times. Re upload from my old channel. My 02 ford explorer power door locks just up and quit all at the same time. Press the unlock control then press the lock control.

Average failure mileage is 95 400 miles. The 2002 ford explorer has 7 problems reported for power door lock not working. The horn will chirp. The horn will chirp once if auto lock was deactivated or twice one short and one long chirp if auto lock was activated.

Turn the ignition back to on. No door is opened but the doors refuse to lock and the warning light stays on. The common problem is that the switch is not closed this will cause your dome lite to be on door ajar light on and will malfunction any aftermarket auto alarm. Press the power door lock button once and listen for the horn to beep one time.

Older versions used a plunger that you could easily test with with your fingers.
