Engine tank should begin filling after 4 5 seconds and stop when gets full.

The yamaha outboard alarm system can fail just like any other system on your outboard. I was starting it this morning and as soon as i turned the key the alarm buzzer went off. Troubleshooting the alarm system includes making sure the horn associated with the alarm works making sure the warning light comes on and the horn sounds when the oil level drops below acceptable levels and ensuring the warning sounds if the engine overheats. The emergency bypass fill switch does work by allowing the tank to fill with this switch engaged.

The oil leakage now might be the least of concerns. The oil tank is full. The remote oil pump would not turn on. Its purpose is to force oil to flow through the strainer and not bypass the strainer at the nipple.

I turned it off and tried it again several times. Fwiw while trouble shooting i replaced the following for naught. I have a 2001 yamaha ox66 where the main oil tank on the engine is not filling automatically. Having an issue with my 2000 200 hp yamaha ox66 outboard motor.

Need to find the seal. They sometimes are dislodged when the gauge is being removed and it can wind up at the bottom of the oil tank. Remote tank sensor remote tank pump. I have a mid 90s yamaha 70hp precision blend 2 stroke.

The 2 stroke oil is not transferring from my external reservoir to the one on the. But with alarm blarring and remote float at full level tank would fill. The seal is designed to live its life in the oil supply.
